All programs are open to any person who is 18 and older and no longer eligible to attend high school. There is no charge for any class at Alvord Adult School. 

These courses give English learners opportunities to study and practice English language communications skills, including listening, speaking, reading, writing, and critical thinking.

Alvord Adult School offers English Language Learners a safe and inclusive space to study and practice English language communication skills including listening, speaking, reading, writing, and critical thinking. 

Our students learn how to become active members of their community through civic engagement and language acquisition. 

We currently offer 4 levels of ESL classes. Students are placed in the appropriate level and move up as they progress.
