Registration Process

Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will be held beginning August 4th. See information below for details. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

English as a Second Language:

  • Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at Alvord High School (a small class will also be offered at the Family and Community Engagement Center at Arlanza Elementary, if you qualify for this class you will be given additional information)
  • Class time is 4:30pm – 7:30pm
  • Classes are held in person and attendance is mandatory
  • Students must complete CASAS testing when scheduled or risk being dropped from the program

High School Diploma Completion:

  • Classes will be offered either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays at Alvord High School.
  • Class time is 4:30pm – 7:30pm
  • Classes are held in person and attendance is mandatory
  • Students MUST complete CASAS testing when scheduled or risk being dropped from the program

Registration Process

  • Open registration will be held in August. 
  • Students who wish to register can do so in person at the Adult Ed Office at Alvord High School during the following dates and times only. 
  • Monday – Thursday, from August 4th through August 14th 
  • From 3:30pm – 5:00pm
  • Students must bring an ID to complete registration. 
  • Students enrolling in the High School Diploma Completion program must bring their most recent transcripts.
  • Students will complete registration and intake CASAS testing. Please allow up to 2 hours to complete the registration process.

Office Computer Applications

 

Computer Classes Registration is Open

 

Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30pm-7:30pm.

  • Office Computer Applications- This class is for students who are already familiar with Microsoft Office and would like more in-depth knowledge. This class also gives students the opportunity to earn a certificate in Business Office Technology. 

All programs are open to any person who is 18 and older and no longer eligible to attend high school. There is no charge for any class at Alvord Adult School. 

EARN A CERTIFICATE IN OFFICE COMPUTER APPLICATIONS

Classes are held Mondays & Wednesdays from 4:30-7:30pm

This class meets in person at Alvord High School
